I read about Alberta Cross in early 2007, but failed to keep them on my radar. Huge mistake. Anyway, I saw them last week open for Long Winters at the Independent and I must say they were the highlight of the evening. It was a fantastic bill, but I just really dug Alberta Cross. This may not be all that accurate of a description, but AC is what the Black Crows would sound like if the Black Crows were any good.

A simple blog search will result in several posts and comments all saying the same thing: Why isn’t this band more popular? My thoughts exactly.

Being one who got all 96(star) levels completed in Super Mario as a kid, I take a liking to these videos. I think “Tubular” was the worst level for me in the Star world. I would have never been able to complete any of these levels. ever.

After watching Grace Jones’ new video from her forthcoming album Hurricane, I’m pretty sure that I would fail a Rorschach inkblot test and would be considered crazy. Grace Jones will always be the first thing that comes to my mind now. I don’t really like this new song very much, but I am pretty stoked about subscribing to the “GraceJonesTV” feed on youtube. I can only imagine the gems to come, but for now lets revisit some Grace Jones classics.

Whoa there! So, I’ve been thinking about scooters lately and it was down to a Honda or the Vespa S. I can’t go with a Honda now - my ear tingles just thinking about them!

And at last… Grace Jones performs Little Drummer Boy on the Pee Wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special. (I don’t think I remember this special airing?)

Mailman Mike did a poor job in this episode because he delivered a package meant for the White House to Pee Wee’s Playhouse. AND THAT PACKAGE WAS GRACE JONES! … I think I’d rather have Richard Pryor come in a box.
